El FBI calificó el ataque en Nueva Orleans como “un acto de terorismo” durante una rueda de prensa que ofreció un día después del ataque. Al menos 15 personas murieron y decenas resultaron heridas cuando un conductor embistió con una camioneta a una multitud en la calle Bourbon, a primera hora del día de Año Nuevo. El sospechoso era un hombre de Texas, de 42 años, y veterano del Ejército, que portaba una bandera de ISIS y murió en un tiroteo con agentes. No sería el “único responsable”, consideraron las autoridades.
