La presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, acudió a la salutación oficial de las fuerzas armadas y durante el acto afirmó que no hay violaciones a los derechos humanos en México. Horas antes, habló del trágico episodio en Chiapas, en el que militares dispararon contra una camioneta, dando muerte a seis migrantes e hiriendo a otros 11. Según la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, los militares dispararon tras escuchar detonaciones al paso de tres camionetas. Eduardo Guerrero, experto en seguridad, hace un análisis del lamentable hecho y analiza el trabajo de las fuerzas armadas en tareas de seguridad.
